The objects have been displayed in showcases as a catalogue of specimens of equal merit, avoiding grouping them according to age or value or any other criteria. Our memories are not structured hierarchically or chronologically and, in our minds, we are free to associate and re-layer them as our imagination takes us. The collection of treasures has been used to continue to explore and develop themes that have preoccupied me in previous work: the consequences of bringing objects of different value or age on to the same level; the building up of layers to create new associations; and the impact of the invisible on the visible.
