Relief printing
In a relief print ink is applied to the raised portions of the printing surface, and is then transferred by pressure to paper or some other material. Examples are seals, rubber stamps, linocuts, woodcuts, wood engravings, prints from card, polystyrene and collaged blocks.

Course aims:
In this workshop you can explore lino techniques.
Learn how to use lino tools, cut and print your lino block. Experimenting adding colour with the use of chîne collé. Printing by hand and with a press.
By the end of the course you will have prints to take home.

1 Day course. Relief printing /lino
Course structure:
Start at 10am work through the morning, taking the freely available tea, coffee and biscuits as and when we choose, until about 1pm when we break for lunch. The afternoon continues until 4pm.
All materials will be supplied for this courses.
Evening class. Relief printing /lino
Course structure:
A block of 3 sessions each starts at 6.30pm and finishes at 8.30pm.
